  • Competencies in the field of nuclear fuel cycle

Our specialists are developing a technology for the heterogeneous burning of minor actinides in fast neutron reactors. The technology involves separating the fuel stream and minor actinides, which are integrated into separate fuel assemblies and irradiated under optimal conditions for their efficient burning and minimization of impact on reactor characteristics. Implementing this technology will significantly reduce the long-term activity and volume
of radioactive waste, reduce costs associated with spent nuclear fuel management and waste disposal, enhance radiation safety during long-term storage of spent fuel, promote the closing of the nuclear fuel cycle.
