Our scientists have developed an innovative multi- functional anti-friction material. It has a compressive strength of 450 MPa and a bending strength of 120 MPa. It can replace widely used silicon carbide in various products.
It exhibits high resistance to extremely aggressive environments, repeated thermal shocks, and has excellent heat resistance. It can be operated at temperatures up to 500oC.
It can be used as component parts of friction assemblies (sealing rings, pads, plain bearings, etc.) in pumps, reactors, separators, and other equipment. It can also be utilized as a stopper material for metallurgical furnaces and ladles, among other applications.
