The Management Company of the Scientific Division of Rosatom has been renamed to Rosatom Science
After the completion of official legal procedures, in accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Joint-Stock Company Science and Innovations received a new name - JSC Rosatom Science.
The renaming is connected with the transition to a single brand, will increase customer centricity and build the positioning of the state corporation Rosatom as a global scientific and technological leader that offers a wide range of products and services aimed at improving the quality of life of people, ensuring security, independence and sustainable development of the state.
"The new name fully reflects the essence of the activities of the Scientific Division and the goals of Rosatom. All our scientific centers and institutes are involved in one way or another in solving the most important tasks of national projects and federal programs aimed at ensuring the scientific and technological potential of the nuclear industry, creating breakthrough technologies for energy, medicine, space, instrument making and many other industries. All of them have a strong research base and modern production. We will continue to work to preserve and increase Rosatom's leadership in the global nuclear industry with the help of science and new technologies," said Pavel Zaitsev, Director General of Rosatom Science.
The main tasks of the Scientific Division until 2030 include increasing the competitiveness of Russian products and services in the nuclear energy market through the development of technologies and modernization of infrastructure, increasing the efficiency of research and development, and active commercialization of scientific results.

In 2011, the Rosatom State Corporation initiated the separation of the Scientific Division into a separate structure, which united more than ten scientific organizations that conduct research in the field of nuclear physics, plasma and laser physics, hydrogen energy, nuclear medicine, new materials, adaptive optics, gas-hydro- and thermodynamics, radiochemistry and many others.
Russian companies successfully implement development projects and create innovative solutions. The development of breakthrough technologies increases the competitiveness of both the nuclear industry and the domestic economy as a whole. Rosatom and its enterprises take an active part in this work.
